A new home.

I have moved this blog to www.cavelli.org too keep it compleately seperate from the www.magmor.net site.

A new year

It's 2006, a new year with lot's to look forward too.

I start a new training regime tomarrow, and I'm looking forward to seeing what results I can get and how they affect my fighting. I'm a firm believer that even though you don't need to be in good shape to be good at our game, it certainly helps. I've already slimed down and now I'm going to focus on adding muscle for speed, power, and endurance.

Last October I attended the Know World Rattan Symposium (KWRS) and took a number of good classes. My favorit was a movement and mechanics class taught by His Grace Brannos from the Midrelm. A number of the classes, including several by Brannos, were recorded and a DVD was produced. I've been happily studying my copy. I'm looking forward to adding what I've picked up from the classes and video to fighter practice.

Armour stand

Not much going on this month in the SCA. Everyone is off doing holiday things, but I'm still thinking about fighting, armour, and all things martial.

Along those lines I've found this PDF giving directions on how to build a portable, foldable armour stand.
